Robots
Robotics Verdict
Robots are here. Some of them.
Which robots you can buy, ride or be treated by today, which are still demos, and what they mean for your home and your work. In plain English, with every claim sourced.
The question it answers
Which robots are real, and how far has each got?
Which robots are real, and how far each has got: humanoids, robotaxis, surgical robots, home robots, drones and robots for aging at home, in plain English with every claim sourced.
Every morning the site reads regulator records, company filings, makers' newsrooms and trusted outlets, and updates each robot's dated track record. Its stage follows from published rules, never from opinion.
It never rates or ranks robots, never sells a stage, and never invents a fact. Where its sources are silent, it says so.
Who it's for. Written for curious people who aren't robotics engineers, with a section on robots that help people live at home as they age.
The evidence ladder
Never the judge.
A stage shows how far a robot has got, not how good it is. Two flags sit beside it: whether the evidence is independent or company-reported, and whether a person operates the robot remotely.
- Stage 5Regulator-cleared or mass marketCleared where approval applies, or widely sold.
- Stage 4Paying customersDelivered and paid for, beyond pilots.
- Stage 3PilotWorking with a named customer in a real setting.
- Stage 2Pre-ordersOrders or deposits taken; not delivered.
- Stage 1Demo onlyShown in videos or staged events; no units with customers.
